' Best Luxury Buy' The Independent
Fifi Bijoux was founded as a label which believes in promoting positive ethics and which offers an alternative to exploitation, human rights abuses or irresponsible damage to the environment.
About Fifi Bijoux Luxury Ethical Jewellery:
We are a British Luxury Ethical Jewellery Company.
We source the gold for our jewellery exclusively from fair trading, co-operative mines with eco-sustainabilty and environmental stewardship. We only purchase gold from small scale, artisanal mines.
The gemstones & diamonds for our jewellery come from socially & environmentally responsible mines of known provenance. (We prioritise fair trade co-operatives where ever possible);
The gems & diamonds used in our jewellery are cut in workshops which do not use child labour or exploit employees. (Our partners promote the wellbeing & safety of employees as well as positive environmental models). We use fair trade co-operative cutting workshops wherever possible.
We do not believe in compromising on uber chic design or luxury.
We want you to enjoy your jewellery and be reassured that no abuses of human rights or unwarranted impact on the environment have occurred to produce it. Vivien founded the company on the ethos that child labour, forced labour or the appalling working conditions which can be seen in many mining operations and jewellery production workshops were not acceptable conditions for a luxury industry.
Fifi Bijoux offers ready-to-wear collections as well as tailor-made couture items, made by British goldsmiths and using raw materials sourced from ethical operations which share our vision for a responsible, humane industry.

VIVIEN JOHNSTON: 'I am often asked to explain what motivated me to create Fifi Bijoux and to source our gold from specific mines. I think this article goes some way to explaining the issues which stir me, and why I advocate fair trade, a transparent supply chain, no child labour and no mercury or cyanide.'
